Sorry-school board cupcakes

Sorry i have not been on as i have been caught up with school being as it was my first few weeks back from the holidays. I wont be able to post too often because now i get loads of homework but ill try my best!

For this recipe youll need cupcakes of yoir choice, black fondant icing, green writing icing and white writing icing.

1.take the black fondant and place an even layer on the cupcake you can then cut it into a square or cut into the shape of the cupcake around the edge.
2.use green writing icing and draw a square with it like the boarder of your chalk board.
3.next using white icing you can design your cake like a chalk board with numbers letters symbols or whatever you like! It's an idea to write on six cupcakes s c h o o l.  To spell school! Enjoy and remember keep baking!

Sorry-- simple easy for kids bunny cuocake

So i haven't posted in nearly 2 weeks but thats because I've been on holiday.

So i found this great idea for cupcake decorating to do a simple bunny kids can do!

You need smarties strawberry laces white fondant icing to cover the cakes scissors and cupcakes.

Start by covering your cupcakes of choice with the fondant then use a pink smartie or any colour you want for a nose.
Then cut the laces to about 1inch x 6 and do whiskers , use a bit longer piece of lace for the mouth and two brown or green smarties for eyes!

If you want you can use frosting for the top and sides or whole cupcake then with a toothpick do lines to look like fur!

chantilly topped vanilla cupcakes!

Ingredients:

                     For the batter.

110g/4oz butter or margarine, softened at room temperature

          110g/4oz caster sugar

          2 free-range eggs, lightly beaten

1 tsp vanilla extract (if you want you can use vanilla pods to)

          110g/4oz self-raising flour

          1-2 tbsp milk

·

You can also use a packet mix, your own preferred vanilla cupcake recipe or just make a simple cake mix and divide into cases after.

For the topping

Chantilly cream homemade or shop bought (you can use as much as you like really)

Sprinkles (optional)

Cherry (optional)

Method

· Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and line a 12-hole muffin tin with paper cases.

· Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale. Beat in the eggs a little at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.

· Fold in the flour using a large metal spoon, adding a little milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency. Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until they are half full.

· Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden-brown on top and a skewer inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack.

·       Once the cakes are cool get a knife and cut a hole in the middle about ¾ inch down, as long it doesn’t reach the bottom.

·       Then get your Chantilly cream and fill the hole till slightly full.

·       Put the cake you cut out back on its ok if it doesn’t go in properly or is messy as you will cover with cream anyway

·       Start to layer on cream then smooth with a butter knife, you can use as much cream as you like it depends on your taste.

·       As a final touch add sprinkles or a cherry and viola Chantilly topped vanilla cupcakes.

first post

Hi! i'm Elania and this is my baking blog. I'm a girl who loves baking and wants to share my favorite recipes, top tips, ideas and all things baking with you guys. I will try to post as often as possible but on other blogs i've created I just forgot to post completely (i will try not to again.)

About me: I'm a complete cupcake head and love to bake mini cupcakes as often as I can. Both my mom and my nan got me into cooking and baking, both of which I love, from a young age and from there my love for food grew. As I baked more my food got more delicious and people now don't just say they liked my cooking because they don't want to offend me with the truth:)

I hope you like my posts and enjoy my fabulous recipes! :-)
